Harry Woods tells his own story of when he was an RAF Spitfire pilot during the Second World War.

Eighteen year old Jim Dodd is Second Lieutenant in an infantry battalion. He may be younger than many of the men in his platoon but he earns their respect in the way he handles them on exercise.

Seen through the eyes of a 13-year-old girl, this is the story of the bubonic plague in London and how it affected ordinary people. Told in diary format, it covers the year before the Great Fire of London, which ended the threat of the plague.

It's the1580s. Queen Elizabeth's enemies plot to kill her and place Mary Queen of Scots on the throne. While Kitty's father works on secret projects for Elizabeth, her brother's mixing with suspicious characters. As Mary's supporters edge closer by the minute, Kitty fears the worst ... that they'll all be thrown into the Tower.

France 1942-1944. Paul is 14 years old and the Germans have taken over France. Paul wants to join a team to help stop the war.
